"At Foundry Kitchen & Bar we feel a connection to the industries that use fire and metal to transform raw materials into tangible products. The Madison Williams Foundry that operated in Port Perry from the late 1800s to the early 1900s, crafted steam turbines for the ships that travelled the Trent Severn waterway, enriching our historic community. Foundry Kitchen & Bar uses fire and metal to craft memorable cuisine and experiences from fresh raw materials produced by our neighbours. In the spirit of the Foundry, we work every day to enrich our community through good food, conversation and friendship."
Contact Haugen's to book.
"People always ask us; What’s so special about Haugens? Besides the fact that we have been around for 68 years… and are legendary with hundreds of thousands of families and travelers all over Ontario and Canada? Our rotisseries run “low and slow” all day long to keep our chickens moist and fresh. We only use the best pork back ribs that are slow cooked to tender “fall of the bone” perfection and basted with our tangy ribs sauce. We cut our own fries and bake our own pies. If you are looking for an old fashioned celebration of food we are the place for you!!!"

"Ever since I was a young boy, I loved food. My mom is a great cook and she should get credit for my love and passion for cooking. I also had the desire to travel the world. I went to culinary school with the hope to travel the globe and learn the cuisine of my many favorite countries which include Thailand, India, Egypt, Brazil, Mexico, Italy, France, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Japan, Singapore – the list goes on. I went on to visit over 35 countries in 15 years. As I traveled I felt the need to document my travels and that is what introduced me to photography. The photographs displayed on the walls of the restaurant were all taken during my travels. My dream to one day open a restaurant is now a reality. My team and I strive to bring you authentic tastes from far away places made with high quality natural and organic ingredients cooked in house from scratch."
